In 1573, Italian monk Saint Malcolm had a sudden idea and made a doll like mannequin out of wood and clay, decorated with scraps of cloth, which led to the emergence of early mannequins. Subsequently, mannequins were quickly introduced to France. In Paris, known as the "capital of fashion," a female tailor used these mannequins to showcase new clothing to customers and received unexpected results, causing the tailoring industry to emulate them. From then on, fashion model props have spread throughout the world and have been passed down to this day.
