When we walk on the street, passing by the clothing stores, will see the store window placed a few clothing mannequins, this mannequins wearing the most popular clothes, take this model, will fantasize about their own wear this set of clothes is not also so cool, so good-looking.
These clothing mannequins can be assembled to show the effect of clothing, but not assembled, is a pile of arms, legs, hands, head piled up together, these are in accordance with the proportion of real people to produce, but a person can easily hold up a life size female mannequin, why so light? Isn't it said that it is made according to the proportion of a normal human being? In fact, the middle is empty, the material is fiberglass, so it is very light when you hold it. Some mannequins are customized according to customers' requirements, and the various poses are different, there are mannequin legs crossed/mannequin sitting crossed legs, there are standing models and bust models. Therefore, the craftsman will first make a metal skeleton, with this skeleton, plaster and fiberglass have a place to attach, the principle of doing so is, first shape, then trimming.
Because the mold is directly from the clay pour, so the masters also have to use a dampened cloth to carefully wipe out the skin of the mannequin. In order to facilitate the assembly and production of the mannequin mold later, the whole mannequin needs to be split into several parts, head, arms, legs, body, and other major parts. Then use an aluminum strip to separate them and make a parting line for the inverted mold. After making the dividing line, start to splash a layer of plaster water on the clay body, so far it's the exterior, and then you can see the content inside when you invert the mold. When the plaster is not solidified, it is time to use fiberglass paste to add the shell that will hold the mold in place. After the plaster and fiberglass have solidified, it can be removed from the mold, not in one piece, but from where the aluminum pieces were cut into the mold. This is the plaster shell we want. By the time we get to the final fabrication, we already know that the mannequin mannequin is actually a hollow fiberglass shell. For the actual fabrication, the fiberglass is applied one sheet at a time, after a layer of adhesive is applied to the plaster cast.
Fiberglass is applied and covered sheet by sheet, covering the inside of the plaster mold, and then dried to form the final shell. The outer surfaces of the parts are sanded on a sanding machine, this step is to be smooth - to facilitate the adhesion of the paint later.
Large parts will be sprayed into a customized color, the market sees more models on the white side. Mannequin production is over, the final assembly of the various parts, mainly depends on the snap between the nesting.
